Pastor RichRichard Doebler

Senior Pastor

Our senior pastor has a heart to see God's Word communicated in relevant ways so it can be grasped by people today. Before coming to Cloquet in 1997, Rich pastored churches in Texas and Minnesota. He also served as editor and contributor to the Quest Study Bible (originally published by Zondervan in 1994). For six years he was an associate editor for Leadership magazine, a quarterly journal for pastors, and remains one of its consulting editors. He has degrees from the University of Minnesota, North Central Bible College, and Pepperdine University. In full-time ministry since 1974, Rich and his wife, Sharon, are the parents of three grown children, Nathan, Micah, and Jennie.

Associate Pastor

Our administrative associate pastor, a graduate of Christian Life College, has served churches in Ohio and Illinois. Currently he is working towards a master's degree in church management. Fred oversees various ministry programs and volunteers at CGT. His greatest joy is to lead people in their walk with God, preparing them for ministry in our community and abroad. He and his wife, Carla, have three children.



 

 

 

 


Jeff Gilboy

Youth Pastor

Our youth pastor has a heart for the youth and families in our community. His desire is to impact young people with the life-changing truth of God's Word. Prior to beginning his ministry at CGT in 1996, Jeff spent a year as a missionary intern in Equatorial Guinea, West Africa, and then completed his formal ministerial training at North Central University in Minneapolis. He and his wife, Heidi, have five children.

Directory of Children's Ministry

Our children's ministry director (and wife of our senior pastor) began her children's ministry work while still a teenager in Connecticut when she traveled with a Vacation Bible School team. She graduated from North Central Bible College with a degree in Christian Education and continued her early childhood studies at the University of Minnesota, at both the Duluth and Twin Cities campuses. Before coming to Cloquet she was Director of Children's Ministry at a growing suburban church in Naperville, Illinois.
