Here's an "all day" LifeGroup - with sewing machines humming from 10-3PM.  Quilts are made with love and then donated to various charities and to new moms.  You do not need to be a quilter to join as there are plenty of non-quilting jobs throughout the day to do.  And in the grand tradition of quilting, friendship and conversation are a significant aspect of Love You To Pieces!
